UNDERSTANDING THE HONOLULU COUNTY CHARTER: WHAT'S ON THE BALLOT THIS NOVEMBER?
Have you heard of the Honolulu City Charter Amendments? Did you know we are only able to vote on amendments to our Honolulu City Charter once every 10 years! This session will be led by Kima Wassel Hardy, Urban Agroecologist and Founder, Ei Agroforestry.
LISTEN TO OUR LEO! EMPOWERING VOICES THROUGH CREATIVITY
Led by Maile and Hanohano Naehu—aka Queen Maile and Paniolo Prince—this gathering uses storytelling, music, and cultural practice as tools for civic engagement and positive change. Rooted in moʻolelo, ʻōlelo noʻeau, ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, and mele, participants explore how their voices, creativity, and lived experiences can inspire dialogue, strengthen community, and spark meaningful action.
HOW TO WRITE A BILL 101
Did you know that anyone can write a bill? This introductory session will provide you with the 101 toolkit needed to navigate writing a bill, how to present your vision, and strategies on how to build your community of support.
